A Texas woman who was married using an Amazon transactio marriage feature says she hopes the company will make it easier for women like her to marry.
Shanene Anderson and her wife, who are both from Dallas, are in their 50s and live in the Dallas area.
She and Anderson are members of a local church.
Their marriage has been going on for almost a year.
They first began the process by submitting a form to Amazon that asked about their marital status.
The process went smoothly until they decided to marry in a store and get married using the transactio method.
“It was a lot of work, it was very confusing, it took a while, but we finally got it to work, so now we are on track,” Anderson said.
Anderson says the process of applying for a divorce from her husband was challenging.
“When we got married, he did not have a divorce lawyer,” she said.
“So we went to a divorce attorney, who said it was not a good idea.
So then I found out it was an Amazon transaction.
So we had to go through this process of going through a divorce, and then it was over.
But the process was very difficult and very emotional.”
The couple filed for divorce from Amazon.
The process was supposed to take less than an hour.
But it took several days for the divorce to be finalized.
Amazon is using transactio marriages in many countries around the world.
But in the United States, only in the Southwestern United States and Nevada can transactio weddings be done by the couple.
Anderson says that makes the process more difficult in Texas.
The couple has decided to keep using the Amazon transactios, but they are looking for a different way to go forward.
“We have been married for almost 10 years, and we are trying to find a new way forward, and I think it’s important for other women who are having this problem,” Anderson told KXAS-TV.
“Amazon has done a lot for me and my family.”
