MARTIN GIANTE/AFP/Getty Images Milan have reportedly agreed to sign Manchester City winger Manu Lacazette on a two-year deal, with the 25-year-old set to join the Italian giants in January.
Lacazette has been on loan at Arsenal and has been linked with a move to Manchester City in the past, but the England international is likely to be the highest paid of the new signings.
The signing of Lacazetta, who has two years remaining on his current deal, will boost Milan’s coffers in the summer, with a sale of a number of important players to other European clubs having been proposed as part of a potential transfer deal.
The striker will be a great addition to the Milan squad, but will also help them in the Champions League too, with AC Milan currently sitting fourth, three points adrift of leaders Juventus in second spot.
Lacan was loaned to Arsenal in January last year, and made only four Serie A appearances for the Gunners, but his form this season has been phenomenal, scoring nine goals in his last seven appearances for Milan.
The winger’s current deal will expire in 2021, but Milan have already indicated they will extend his contract in order to increase the club’s finances.
With this move, the Bianconeri have signed one of the biggest stars in Serie A history, while also cementing their place in the competition for years to come.
